Q: How do I get to Cloudcroft?
A: If you are flying, the closest airport is El Paso, TX, which is 110
miles south of Cloudcroft. Take Highway 54 north to Alamogordo, then
U.S. Highway 82 east to Cloudcroft. There is an Alamo-El Paso
Shuttle that can bring you from the airport to Alamogordo.
Reservations are required: 800-872-2701. We will be happy to pick
you up in Alamogordo if you let us know a week prior to your workshop when
to meet your shuttle. If you choose for us to pick you up in
Alamogordo, you will need to be physically able to do a fair amount of
walking, depending upon where you stay. The Village of
Cloudcroft is at 8600 ft. elevation. PLEASE check with your doctor
if you have a health condition that high altitudes might affect.
Q: How do I dress?
A: Our summer temperatures range from an unusual high of 80 degrees to a
low of mid 40's. It is recommended that you bring a light jacket,
rain gear, casual clothing and comfortable shoes. Classrooms are
cool in the mornings. You may wish to have sweatshirts or long
sleeves and long pants. Layering is recommended. Restaurants
are casual; night life is minimal.
Q: What does the tuition cover?
A: The tuition covers 5 days of class from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., reception,
coffee breaks with snacks and a certificate.
Q: What if the class is cancelled?
A: Sometimes a class has to be cancelled for various reasons - instructor
ill, family problems, not enough students, etc. If this happens a
full refund including the $50 registration fee will be made.
Students are advised to purchase refundable airline tickets to avoid loss
in case of a workshop cancellation. We will notify you as soon as we
can or you can call or email us to be sure.
Q: What if the Student has to cancel?
A: Cancellations received at least 30 days prior to the beginning of the
registered workshop will be refunded for the full amount of the Workshop
Fee paid. The $50.00 Registration Fee will not be refunded for Student
Cancellations. Cancellation notification may be E-mailed to the Registrar
or contact the Registrar by phone.
Q: What about a supply list?
A: Upon receipt of deposit, you will be sent a confirmation of
registration. The supply list provided by the instructor will be available
on this website or a hard copy can be requested . Limited supplies will
be available to purchase at the workshop. Those will be listed as well.
